September 2026 · A note from outreach
Already in God’s embrace
We remain conscious that everyone is already in God’s embrace. Our outreach is not about bringing something new to people, but about bearing witness to that spiritual fact — and allowing God to guide us as His love is reflected through us.
This month at church
Sunday service and Sunday School continue from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday testimony meeting is from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. All are welcome — membership is not required to attend.
Beginning Tuesday, September 15, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., we open a Christian Science Round Table: a shared reading straight from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, with correlative Scriptures and discussion after the reading. Sessions may also be shared on Zoom. Come to listen, or to read along.
The Reading Room will be open Tuesdays at 7:00–8:00 p.m. beginning September 15, in connection with the Round Table, and you are welcome before and after Sunday and Wednesday services. It is a quiet place to study the Bible, Science and Health, and the periodicals, and to ask questions.
Outreach in Bradenton
This congregation is taking up a simple, prayer-led outreach — work that members and friends can share, so it does not rest on one person alone. The aim is to make the healing message of Christian Science more available where people live, wait, and gather in Manatee County.
In the months ahead that includes: prayer support offered to local police, fire, and courts; Bible study and supportive visits at senior homes, shelters, and jails as doors open; literature collected at church and placed, with our name and address, in Little Free Libraries and community waiting areas; and small resource packets for neighbors experiencing homelessness, pointing to Turning Points, Salvation Army Bradenton, and Under One Roof.
Look for us as well at the Bradenton Public Market with Realize Bradenton — Saturdays, October 3, 2026 through May 29, 2027, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Old Main Street — and at Joyful Noise on Saturday, November 14.
How you can take part
Stay informed through this monthly newsletter. It is for members and for anyone who loves this church’s healing work. Each issue will note services, the Round Table, lecture dates when we have them, and the current status of outreach.
If you are interested in church membership, speak with the Clerk, Julie Kirkwood, or pick up materials in the foyer. The invitation is purely informative — there is no pressure to join. If you would like to help with literature, the Round Table, market days, or prayer for our city, write us. We are glad to hear from you.
